Junior golf is about meeting and maintaining friends through a sport that can be played for life.
Links Shell Cove places great importance on Junior Golf and this is shown through the enjoyment of the MyGolf Program and our easily accessible & affordable junior membership offerings.
The MyGolf program provides coaching, development and encouragement in all areas of the game. Once they have a basic skillset & knowledge of the game, Juniors can become members of the Links and utilise the modern practice facilities to continue to hone their skills.
As each MyGolf participant improves their knowledge, skills and gains confidence through the program they will progress into our Junior Academy Program currently run by resident LSC PGA Teaching Professional Toby McGeachie.

PGA GA Community Instructor
My enjoyment of the game started at a young age in North Queensland but once I graduated from the PGA program, I had a passion for teaching.
Being one of a few females to play competitive junior golf in North Queensland and one of the first females enrolled as a PGA Trainee, I wanted to grow the game women and juniors, but also those who didn’t have access to coaches in remote areas.
I have worked with some of the great teachers of the game such as Gary Edwin and Alan Creighton in Queensland, and was able to extend the knowled when in 2016 I was given the opportunity to work at a private golf club in Melbourne as a junior coach.
This gave me access to some of the countries great players and teachers. Learning mental strategies from DP World tournament players, state and national junior golfers, AFL and Rugby League players, as well as specialist putting coach Jamie Donaldson. The exposure I gained from golf specific physiotherapists, nutritionists, and finally the golf courses have led me to a wealth of knowledge.

Peter Nascimento
LSC Golf Operations Manager
I’m the Golf ops Guru @ LSC! I love the game of golf and have been involved in the game as long as I can remember, my best memories though are not the courses I’ve played, tournaments I’ve competed in or teams I’ve been a part of. Playing as a kid with my dad and my pop, that’s where golf started for me, and my love affair with the game has grown from there.
I was extremely fortunate as a junior golfer to be afforded so many playing & development opportunities and am passionate about giving back to the game and the industry that has given so much to me.
One of my favourite moments as a junior golfer was not playing but caddying for the great Arnold Palmer for 9 holes at The Australian Golf Club, something I still pinch myself over… except when I over-clubbed him on the 3rd hole, after that moment I let Mr. Palmer make the decisions.
At LSC we are about “making golf fun”, we are not your traditional golf facility, and I love being able to create ways to deliver the most enjoyable experience to our members & guests. The junior program being launched by Narelle & Toby compliments this mantra perfectly.
